Beautiful Airbnbs in Tobago that are perfect for Remote Working

Tobago Airbnbs for Remote Work

It’s been over a year of social distancing and many across Trinidad & Tobago remain in remote-work mode. Twelve months in however, the once novel concept of working from home has lost its lustre. With no opportunity to jet off to foreign parts for a much needed change of pace and scenery, the time has come for us to get creative with our workflow. After all, there’s nothing stopping us from indulging in a little workation, provided productivity levels are maintained. So, for those in search of a bit of escapism, here are some Airbnbs in Tobago that are perfect for remote working.

These Airbnbs have been selected because they meet the following criteria:

  • Strong and stable wifi connection to ensure laptops and wireless printers are fully online at all times
  • Strong and stable data signal to avoid dropped work calls
  • Safe and serene location with no distractions
  • Gorgeous views to help calm your mind even in the most stressful situations
  • Close proximity to a beautiful, bathable beach

The perfectly appointed sea-view log cabin is outfitted with all the creature comforts of home, including a strong wifi signal and ample space for you to function. Choose to set up your makeshift work station at the dining room table where you’ll be treated to a million-dollar vista. Or opt to get comfortable on the balcony while lapping up the cool Atlantic Ocean breezes. You can even utlilise the spacious kitchen counter and bask in its soothing garden view. Whichever you fancy, bask in the calm vibes that will allow you to survive the most tedious of conference calls with a smile on your face!

How to unwind at the end of the workday:

  • Swing away any residual stress in the hammock while taking in the panoramic view

Modern minimalism never looked as good as it does at the Firefly Villa, making it an ideal getaway for both work and play. The Treetop apartment serves up spectacular ocean views through inventive architectural designs like circular windows and a full-length glass wall, but it also delivers several ideal workspaces, including a desk in one of the bedrooms. With a strong wifi signal that works just as well poolside, as it does inside the apartment, you’ll be able to get a lot done while residing in this quiet, residential community in Bethel with no loud music, excessive traffic, or other distractions to disturb your piece.

How to unwind at the end of the workday:

  • Grab a float and rock back in the pool and feel soothed by the surrounding lush greenery
  • Enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony while watching the sunset
  • Make the 15-minute drive to Buccoo Bay for a relaxing evening on the beach

Mahogany Ridge Cottage, Black Rock

Tobago Airbnbs for Remote working Mahogany Ridge

Mahogany Ridge is a dreamy whitewashed cottage tucked away in the hills of Black Rock. The location is just remote enough to feel like a true escape, without having to venture too far off-grid. While the cottage shares the property with the main house, the thick vegetation surrounding both structures provides much-appreciated privacy. With a strong wifi connection, consistent data signal, and a patio set on the balcony that serves as the perfect work station with an epic treetop view, this Airbnb serves as an ideal workation accommodation.

How to unwind at the end of the workday:

  • Enjoy a drink poolside with nothing for company but the birds flying by
  • Sit on the balcony and take in the evergreen view stretched out before you
  • Make the 20-minute drive to Mt. Irvine Bay for some salt water therapy

Sugar Shack, Parlatuvier

Sugar Shack, Airbnb in Tobago

Sugar Shack serves up the very best of both worlds as it allows you to enjoy all the rustic charm of cabin life on prime beachfront real estate. The studio is well-appointed with a king bed and fully equipped kitchen – ideal for a two person-stay. From the dining table, to the front porch, to the shaded lounge area just off the kitchen, there are multiple functional workspaces to choose from – all with the same beautiful ocean view! With a mini-mart a short walk away, it’s easy to keep the refrigerator and cupboards stocked; and the fishermen docking at the jetty are always happy to supply you with fresh fish for a hearty, homecooked meal.

How to unwind at the end of the workday:

  • Watch the sunset from the cabin deck, drink in hand
  • Take a dip in Parlatuvier Bay, just a stone’s throw away from the cabin
  • Make the brief trek to Parlatuvier Waterfall for a little water therapy
