A chain of 32 islands dotting the southern Caribbean Sea, this diminutive destination is perfect for anyone who wants to turn off the rest of the world and tune into nature.

SVG’s terrain is defined by startlingly vivid colors, dramatic contrasts and vistas that stretch on for miles. Salt pond soaking, fort climbing, beach-bumming and road tripping are just some of the activities you can indulge in while the island. Throw a quirky Pirates of the Caribbean museum into the mix and I’d say SVG is a must-visit for anyone who’s genuinely interested in exploring the wide variety of experiences the Caribbean region has to offer.

  1. Amazing shots, by the way! You were lucky to have such a beautiful sunny day. These photos could convince anyone to go. My favorite one is of the island!

      Thanks! We had perfect weather every single day! The island was one of my fave excursions because there’s actually a fort all the way to the top. It’s a pretty steep climb up the steps but the views on the way up and at the top are soooo worth it!

    Wow this island is as close you can get to paradise! The lush green from the rainforest and the never-ending sea of blue with the white sand. This is truly a must-visit destination. It doesn’t help that I have always longed for a tropical vacation – since my last one in December – and this island is calling my name!

  15. Ohh girl I just pinned the post to my wish list board! You sold me St.Vincent and The Grenadines on the first paragraph and on your first photo! Is soo wild and green with the blue sky and crystal clear water…just like you wrote! I am from Thailand we have beautiful beaches too but this part of the world intrigues me very much as I have never been to and the culture is totally different. For now, these islands has to stay on my wish list but I hope to be ticking it off very soon!

  20. Oh my goodness, I need to get back to the Caribbean!! I traveled to St. Thomas and St. John for a destination wedding last year and absolutely fell in love. Your pictures of SVG are tugging on my heart strings and got me checking out flights again! Such lush greens and I know those blues, for they are forever etched on my heart!

  24. Girl, I can’t even imagine living in the Caribbean and being so close to all these gorgeous views!! I would probably just take a hammock to the beach, set up shop and never leave. That blue water!!?! Magical!!
